Can anyone help me? We had decided to name our new born son Aaryan - meaning "Of utmost strength" as I thought it was a Muslim name. However, I am now being told this may not be the case. Can anyone please help? Does anyone know the origin of the name and if it is Muslim? I would very much appreciate anyone who can help clarify this, as having chosen the name now my son has arrived, it will continue to cause some distress, until we can confirm it is a true Muslim name, otherwise we will need to re-name him.
