Scholars differ on this name
Khair-un-Nisa means 'the best of women', which is strong self-praise; the Malaysia Mufti encourages changing it for that reason. It is used in South Asia, but the Prophet ﷺ disliked names that praise oneself.
خیر النساء کا مطلب 'عورتوں میں سب سے بہتر' ہے، جس میں اپنی بڑائی ہے؛ ملائیشیا کے مفتی نے اسی وجہ سے بدلنے کا مشورہ دیا ہے۔ نبی کریم ﷺ اپنی تعریف والے ناموں کو ناپسند فرماتے تھے۔

وَإِذْ قَالَتِ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَٰمَرْيَمُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَٱصْطَفَىٰكِ عَلَىٰ نِسَآءِ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
اور جب فرشتوں نے (مریم سے) کہا کہ مریم! خدا نے تم کو برگزیدہ کیا ہے اور پاک بنایا ہے اور جہان کی عورتوں میں منتخب کیا ہے
And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee and made thee pure, and hath preferred thee above (all) the women of creation.
